What year did we have the BIG snowfall when we could not get our cars or busses to get us home and had to WALK?

Classmate Bill Swafford has sent us the answer...
"We all remember that snow storm. I lived in South St. Louis and it took me 3 1/2 hours to get home. It was Friday, January 31, 1958. It snowed 11.2 inches and it is still the record for a one day snowfall during January in St. Louis!"
Thanks so much, Bill !
